Put your Ipod/Itunes/Zune on random and list the first 100 songs that play. No skips, no matter how embarrassing.
( please ignore number four ;) )

THE RULES:
Put your music player of choice on shuffle and answer these questions with the first line(s) of the song.
1. If you were to see a ghost, you'd scream... do it, do it, you do it, do it, you're doin' it well! (HAHAHA)
2. If you were to write an autobiography, you'd call it... Lady Picture Show - She Hides Behind the Bedroom Door
3. You get a letter from a secret admirer that reads... Don't you think that I'm bound to react now?
4. In a job interview you're always sure to tell the manager... what we're dealing with here is a total lack of respect for the law.
5. When you arrive at the pearly gates in the sky you say... I tell you how I feel, but you don't care. (LAWLS St. Peter does not care.)
6. If you were a superhero, your catch phrase would be... Wynona's got herself a big brown beaver, and she shows him off to all her friends. (ROFFLEMAOW ROFFLEMAOW ROFFLEMAOWWWW)
7. When somebody offers you drugs you decline by saying... I don't care if your world is ending today because I wasn't invited to it anyway. (omg harsh)
8. While stuck in traffic you read a strange bumper sticker that states... Hold tight, count to three, gotta stay close by me (and I would be freakin' the fuck out. STUNTMAN MIKE OH NOES!)
9. Hmm... these are some feelings you should really keep to yourself: Well, all right, uh...now dig this!
10. When a bully insults you, your comeback is... No TV and no beer make Homer...something something!
11. When you win a game of ping pong you shout... Swing a hammer, plow the dirt, same day, different shirt! (<3 michael)
12. So what exactly makes you so awesome? BURN, BABY, BURN!
13. After making out, you tell your sweetheart... Thirteen acres of hell...*scream* (LOL)
14. If you're the valedictorian of your school, you open your valedictory speech with... All of my life, I've tried so hard, doing my best with what I had. (omg so appropriate, and I LOVE this frickin' song)
15. Describe your best friend. Bet it ain't a-raining back home.
16. When you're angry, you like to scream... I don't know why I got it so bad. (approps!)
17. What you say to ask for forgiveness from someone you've hurt: Life is a mystery.
18. How you express your feelings to your crush: Bright light city gonna set my soul, gonna set my soul on fire.
19. How you introduce yourself to people: I feel my wings have broken in your hands. (depressing.)
20. When asking for directions, you start the question with... I'll be the king of calamity from my high-volt throne. (Emoly gave me dis sonnnnng!)
( song list for the curious )

Goldfrapp - Cologne Cerrone Houdini
Everybody should be listening to this song because it's splendiferous and I can't stop listening (and I don't want to be alone in this).
I think Goldfrapp should do the song for the next James Bond movie. Because srsly - this current one, Another Way to Die or whatever, was crap. I like Jack White, and Alicia Keys is okay, but together they're just a crapstorm. Goldfrapp would be beyond awesome.
Parts of this song sound very Bond-ish:
Goldfrapp - Time Out From The World
And I'm uploading a third just because I can.
Goldfrapp - Hairy Trees
DEAL WIT IT.
Also, suisse mocha coffee drink + gingerbread eggnog = muthafuckin' DELICIOUS.
That is all.
Just kidding, no it's not. I love my new icon.

Please excuse my douchey music critic descriptions. ^_^
David Bowie - The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars
My number one favorite album of all time. The rest are just listed in alphabetical order. David Bowie is god of all music, the end. :)
Download these songs: Moonage Daydream, Ziggy Stardust, Rock 'N' Roll Suicide
Goldfrapp - Supernature
Sensual, hypnotic dance music with fabulously sexy lyrics. I can listen to these songs over and over again.
Download these songs: Ooh La La, Time Out From the World, Number 1
Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral
Gritty, violent, emotional, sexual, experimentally industrial, and contains some of my absolute favorite lyrics. This is the album I hid under my mattress when my parents threw the Marilyn Manson CDs in the trash. Ha.
Download these songs: Closer, Reptile, Hurt
Pink Floyd - The Wall
The most grandiose of all concept albums, an epic masterpiece - albeit an unabashedly self-involved one. This is an album where, if I hear one song from it, I have an irresistible urge to hear all of them.
Download these songs: (apart from the obvious, i.e. Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2), Comfortably Numb) Young Lust, Run Like Hell, The Trial
Portishead - Dummy
Moody, seductive music that manages to be intricate and stark at the same time. Vocals that are heart-wrenchingly honest, vulnerable, and smooth as silk.
Download these songs: Glory Box, Sour Times, Wandering Star
Radiohead - OK Computer
Radiohead is a group that has the rare ability to get better and better with every album. This one took the world by surprise by being stunningly progressive in an unsafe way and surely helped re-shape the musical landscape after it.
Download these songs: Paranoid Android, Exit Music (For a Film), Electioneering
Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness
Soundtrack of my formative years. It could be argued that this was a project drowning in delusions of grandeur, but, in my opinion, it exceeded even those delusions. It deserved the 1996 Grammy, and Celine Dion should go fuck herself and hand it over.
Download these songs: Tonight, Tonight, 1979, Thru the Eyes of Ruby
Tom Waits - Bone Machine
Tom Waits is undeniably one of the most unique musical artists working today, if not of all time. This isn't necessarily his best album, but it's the one I listen to the most (along with Mule Variations).
Download these songs: In the Colosseum, Goin' Out West, Who Are You
Tori Amos - Little Earthquakes
I probably couldn't say anything more cliché than THIS SPEAKS TO ME, but it's absolutely true. Some of her lyrics are universal to every girl or woman that hears them, and others are so intensely personal and meaningful to me that I can barely keep my eyes dry while listening.
Download these songs: Precious Things, Crucify, Winter
U2 - Achtung Baby
Excellent lyrics that weave stories about relationships, perfect and dangerous, desirous and failed. U2 is another band that seems pretty timeless. Therefore, gots to include them!
Download these songs: One, Until the End of the World, Mysterious Ways
Honorable Mentions:
Kill Bill Soundtracks (Vol. 1 and 2)
Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream
Stone Temple Pilots - Purple
Tool - Aenima
Tori Amos - From the Choirgirl Hotel
thanks to the journal of
circlesanthem for being a veritable playground of inspiration :)
*ETA: I purposefully did not include any 'best of' or greatest hits collections on this list. Otherwise there would have been some Queen, Rolling Stones, and possibly Madonna. ;)
